PRINCIPAL – MONICA GAYLE
My name is Monica Gayle and I am excited to continue as Principal of El Dorado Elementary for the 2025-26 school year. I am a proud third-generation “Stocktonian”, product of SUSD, and graduate from the University of the Pacific. I taught high school science in the Stockton Unified School District for 14 years and have served as an administrator in SUSD for 10 years. My passion has always been to encourage students to become productive, responsible citizens. I believe in creating a fun and engaging learning environment with a resolute belief that all students can learn.
As we begin a new academic year, I am delighted to extend a warm welcome to all our students, both returning and new, along with their families to El Dorado Elementary School. Our students well- being, safety, and educational progress continue to be top priorities. We have comprehensive measures and protocols to ensure a secure and conducive learning environment.
This year, we will continue to foster a culture of collaboration, respect, and high-quality instruction within our school community. Through our Professional Learning Communities and Professional Development trainings our staff are committed to providing students with an engaging and rigorous learning experience for student success.
We believe in the power of teamwork and the significance of a strong partnership between home and school. Families should actively engage in their students education, maintain open lines of communication, and participate in school activities and events whenever possible. Together, we can provide the support and guidance our students need to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. I encourage you to stay connected with our school through communications such as ParentVue, ParentSquare, email, parent newsletter, Monthly parent meetings (Hybrid), school website , ELAC, and School Site Council meetings. These platforms will provide you with important announcements, academic resources, and information about upcoming events.
Parents are welcome to volunteer on campus for school activities and events once approved through SUSD volunteer process with prearranged advanced notice. Parents must sign in through our new HallPass system for meetings with staff such as IEP’s, parent teacher conference, counselors, SST’s, etc
ASSISTANT PRINCIPAL – THUYEN TRAN
Hello El Dorado Parents, Guardians, and Families,
Welcome to our 2025-2026 school year! My name is Thuyen Tran, and I am honored to be your Assistant Principal. I know that this year will mark the beginning of greater things to come for our students, staff, and families, and I'm excited to be part of this journey!
As a low-income, first-generation English Learner, I understand the importance of education and the differences an educator can play in a child’s life. I believe that every student deserves an opportunity to reach their full potential. By working together, I know we can create a positive and enriching atmosphere for all our students to thrive academically, socially, emotionally, and physically.
Thus, my main goals are maintaining a safe environment for staff and students and holding high expectations for student behavior and learning in school. I believe that by working together as a team, which includes parents, teachers, admin, staff, students, and the community, we can support our students in engaging in positive behavior and academic excellence.
Parent/guardian involvement is critical and welcome to a student's success. You can help by taking time out to talk with your child/children daily about what they learn and how it applies to their success. Please note that you are also welcome to communicate with your child’s teacher. As a team, we can achieve more.
I look forward to having a fun-filled and productive year with you all. Please don’t hesitate to contact me.
Warmest Regards,
Ms. Thuyen Tran, Assistant Principal
